In addition, it is used to prevent a tension pneumothorax and/or reinflate a collapsed lung without invasive procedures. This item can be used with needle thoracentesis and can be stored in any emergency kit or bag or for aero-medical transport. May include a one-way valve which lets air escape from the pleural space without allowing air to enter.
