Yused to measure the distance from the outer face of the igniter adapter to the inside surface of the combustor ferrule; this measurement is then used to calculate the number of shims required to obtain proper igniter immersion depth

Standard vernier depth gage with the slide bar modified to include an "l"-shaped foot; the vernier section of the gage is calibrated to read in thousandths of an inch, & has a flange face which measures the distance from the top surface of the "l"-shaped foot to the vernier flange face
