Rail Variation Code (RVC)
A one position numeric code. Code 1 indicates a variance exists between the national motor freight classification (NMFC) and the uniform freight classification (UFC) code descriptions. Requires the activity to determine which description applies.
Recommended Demilitarization Code
The code that represents the demil code recommended by the dla logistics information service, demil office.
A one position alpha code, which denotes the expendability, recoverability, and reparability of an item. In accordance with DOD 4100.39-m, volume 10, tables 57-marine corps, 63-navy, 69-air force, 87-army, 128-coast guard, and 130-dla.
Reference Number Action Activity Code (RNAAC)
A two position alphanumeric code designating the activity which has acknowledged the possession or non-possession of a drawing or technical documentation. In accordance with DOD 4100.39-m, volume 10, table 104.
Reference Number Category Code (RNCC)
A one position alphanumeric code that designates the relationship of the reference number to the item of supply. In accordance with DOD 4100.39-m, volume 10, table 6.
Reference Number Variation Code (RNVC)
A one position numeric code that indicates if the reference number is or is not item identifying, or is for information only. In accordance with DOD 4100.39-m, volume 10, table 7.
Related National Stock Number (NSN)
A thirteen position numeric NSN related to the record NSN by means of a management data phrase code. If the management data phrase code is e, f, u, or 3, the master NSN must have interchangeability and substitutability (i&s) order of use recorded for this NSN. Related NSN has functional or physical characteristics that render it a lower order of preference for use than the master or prime item of an i&s family.
Replacement Commercial And Government Entity Code (CAGE)
A commercial and government entity code (CAGE) which replaces a cancelled CAGE code or a NATO commercial and government entity code (NCAGE). The replacement CAGE or NCAGE will be a five position alphanumeric code assigned to companies which either fabricate items of production and/or have design control of items procured by the federal government. The second, third, and fourth positions maybe any mixture of alphanumeric, excluding alpha I and o. A replacement CAGE will have a numeric first and last position. A replacement NCAGE will have an alpha character in the first and/or last position. The NCAGE prefix (first position) and suffix (FIFTH) character(s) designate a specific country or codification bureau (see FLIS procedures manual, volume 10, table 131).
